Gold

Having a discussion at work this morning, talking about a colleague who I call Abs, as his name is a little difficult to pronounce. One of the boys asked, "wasn't Abs a guy in that boy band?" Unfortunately due to my love of crap music, I knew that the band he belonged to was 5ive. After googling the band, we started talking about their stellar music clips and song writing.

Unfortunately, the song that has stuck in my head contain's the lyrics- "Wiggi wiggi I'm gettin jiggy". So thanks 5ive for this little piece of gold:

Chorus:
If ya gettin' down baby
I want it now baby
Come and get it on baby
I want it now baby
If ya gettin' down baby
I want it now baby
Move it all around baby
I want it now baby

I wanna take a little time
To refresh your mind
Cos the boyz are back in town
With a different kinda funk
Who's gots da funk?
We gots da funk - right!
Everybody wanna boogie down tonight
Now throw your hands up in the sky
Move 'em round from side to side
I got what it takes
The beats that brace the funky bass
I'll give your body crazy shakes (come on)

Bridge:
I heard somebody say (what?)
She's at the party so (huh)
I'm gonna get me some (uhhhhhhhhhhhhh).

Chorus

Wiggi wiggi I'm gettin' jiggi
Open up the door, I got the keys to your city
You're lookin' kinda pretty
Dance till you drop and it don't stop until it goes po
Dance how you wanna dance
Let's all get down while we got da chance
I've still got 12 seconds on the clock, that's mine
And I ain't gonna stop till the sun don't shine
Line after line
I flow like rhyme after rhyme
Just like time after time.
Keep it up till you feel the heat
And get down once you hear the beat (uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)

Bridge

Chorus

There ain't no problem that we can't fix
Cos we can do it in the mix
Now if your man gives you trouble
We'll be there on the double
Guaranteed we'll be hittin' for six (come on, yeah)

I heard somebody say (what?)
She's at the party so (huh)
I'm gonna get me some (uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)

(Chorus until end)

The Sun is Shining, Come On Get Happy!

It’s a lovely day today
And whatever you’ve got to do
It would be lovely to be doing it with you

Would give credit where it’s due for the above lyrics, but I only know it from a fridge or washing machine advert from years ago. Ah the power of advertising, it’s an amazing thing that little snippets and jingles can stick with us for so long… Anyway…
Woke up smiling this morning. Things just seem fabulous today. The job interview last week went well. My health is finally better. I’m excited about moving in a few weeks. Things are going great with the Lobster, we caught up on Sunday before he flew out again, this time for Mildura, god he was looking hot. Unfortunately he’s going to be in Sydney the weekend I was thinking about going to Melbourne for a friend’s engagement party. He spends so much time down there I was hoping he might be there, partly so I wouldn’t have to worry about sorting out accommodation, and I thought a weekend of hot sex in a different city would be great, but them’s the breaks!
Also feeling good sore after a tough work out last night. Now that the weather is crappier I’m not spending my arvo’s by the pool and getting back into the urge to exercise. It really releases the stress of my day and helps me sleep better. I woke up super early this morning, was showered and dressed by the time I usually crawl out of bed, and walked up to the bus terminal with an extra spring in my step this morning. Looking forward to another session this arvo.
And to top the morning off, I was speaking to someone here before who I no longer speak to much, and he told me he missed me. Aww, that made me feel all nice and fuzzy :)
